Birchcliff Supports Ken Sargent House with a $250,000 Donation

Birchcliff Energy is proud to support the Ken Sargent House with a $250,000 donation and sponsorship of the facility's Kitchen and Dining Room.

The Ken Sargent House is being built to provide a welcoming and affordable "home away from home" for patients receiving medical treatment at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital and for the family members and caregivers supporting them throughout their healthcare journey. The facility will feature 21 suites, shared living spaces, a large kitchen and dining area, laundry facilities, and other amenities designed to help families stay together while accessing care.

As the Kitchen and Dining Room Sponsor, Birchcliff is helping create a space where families can gather, share meals, support one another, and find moments of comfort during what can be a difficult and uncertain time. The dining area is intended to be one of the central gathering places within the House, fostering connection and a sense of community for those staying there.

"At Birchcliff, supporting the communities where we live and work has always been about more than making a donation - it is about showing up in ways that have a real and lasting impact. Ken Sargent House will provide patients and families travelling for medical care with something incredibly important during a difficult time: comfort, dignity, and a place to be together. We are especially proud to support the Kitchen and Dining Room, because gathering around a table is often where families find a moment of normalcy, connection, and strength." – Michelle Bourque, Manager, Human Resources and Corporate Services
